ALTOS 150 for Ramp Metering
This point cloud video shows Opsys’ demo software monitoring traffic joining a highway in the US. The ALTOS is monitoring a highway ramp where the LiDAR measures vehicle speed and picks up on wrong way driving. This data can also be used to capture the number of vehicles on that part of the road for traffic flow.
Here the ALTOS provides a three in one solution (Ramp Metering, Speed Enforcement and Wrong Way Detection). In this recording the ALTOS 150 unit is used with its maximum range of 150m and a FoV of 45° x 13°. The fully integrated solution is a perfect fit for different traffic monitoring application thanks to its simple installation and low cost due to the integrated perception stack.
